Description

Vintage African Hand-woven Cloth. Condition is "Used". Shipped in Flat Rate Padded Envelope. In the 1950's my father's work with the Board of Missions took him around the world. As a gift of gratitude an African tribal chief gave him this woven cloth. He was told that it was not allowed for these cloths to be taken out of the country as the time it took to dye and weave the material was so extensive. The cloth was highly valued. I have kept it in a cedar chest all of these years. I have not used it during that time. I have included some information regarding this type of cloth but I am not sure which African country he was in when he received this gift.
